The on-going 13th Edition of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations (AFCON) which is scheduled to hold from 14th through 1st Week of May 2019. The biennial international youth football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football for players aged 17 and below. The decision to host this year's tournament in Tanzania was reached in May 2015.
Nigeria sit on top of Group A on goal difference as they are tied on three points with Angola, following their 5-4 victory over Tanzania in their first game in the competition on last Sunday. The Golden Eaglets will take on the Angolans in their second game at the Africa 2019 U17 Cup of Nations tournament on Wednesday.
Nigeria U17's assistant coach Mr. Jolomi is very hopeful his boys will beat the Angolan side and qualify for the next round.
